Strong in The Broken Places

To become strong in the broken places in our lives demands that
we do two things, 'hang in there' and 'let go.' To somehow dig
up the courage to keep going is the very courage that allows us
to scoop up the broken pieces of our lives and lay them all at the
feet of One who would do more in us than just get us through the
storm.
As James Means said, HE would take the fire that blackens our
horizons and warm our souls with it. HE would sharpen our vision
in the darkness that oppresses us. HE would use the despair of
standing at a grave to deepen our trust.
This we cannot do for ourselves. Perhaps because our brokenness
brings us to the end of ourselves, it is here, in these jars of clay that
we offer ourselves up, and God's all surpassing power is made known
and HE indeed makes us strong in our broken places.

In my broken place I would always pray Psalms 138:8
The LORD will perfect all which concerns me...

Know This: God NEVER starts somethings he does not
finish! You are his divine creation and He WILL complete
the work according to HIS plans for you.
So 'HANG IN THERE' and 'LET GO' and 'LET GOD WORK'

:) :) :)
I Bless You!

The Pout

This is what Montana looks like
when she does not get her way!

Ever see a Nubby Tree?

My husband came upon me this morning after my

walk and caught me photographing this tree.

He says to me:

"ya got a thing for trees now?"

NO, I don't have a new thing for trees, but I am

more tuned into the things around me lately.

I just loved the sky behind/above the tree.

The nubbiness also attracted me....

Coming up are a few shots that I managed to get yesterday
before the 'perfect gray sky' turned black!
In fact, as I was shooting the church windows it was actually
sprinkling on me a bit.
Take a peek.....

was able to get her to model for me for a bit.
(I've been waiting quite some time now!)
Thanks Sis!

YES, she is younger, prettier, smaller, smarter and definitely
more photogenic than me!)
I love her anyway! ---HA ;)

Coming up are my favs of the day....

Future Musicians and Singers

This is Shane and Tyson performing for us with there new X-Box

thigamajig. It's this thing thats used with the TV that you can play

instruments and sing with. They were really jammin' and bringing

down the house..!..! Montana was joining right in. It was hilarious,

but I didn't get any pics of her. Next time I'm gonna video them!

Good Morning!
I am once again off to get a few more pics today. Hey.... I am sucking
every minute of it up that I can. It's a little gray outside today which is
great. The old myth of 'it's not a good day for pictures'-- is NOT true.
It's a wonderful time to capture awesome shots.
There is way less competition with shadows because the sky is
a 'gray card' -- light is more evenly distributed.

Anyhoo....I am enjoying the experimentation. I hope it is pleasing
to your eye as well!
Thanks to Kelly Moore, I learned to try different angles and really
'OPEN' my eyes to SEE --color, shapes, dimension, symmetry,
texture, patterns and so on..........
I have a LONG way to go... but hey, I am 'self-taught' mostly from
books and trial/error.
For years, I prided myself on the fact that my pictures were always
'centered'. :) OMG -- a sure sign of an amateur!
I'm sorry, I just didn't know! It just goes with the Type A personality!
heeeeee......

I went out scouting again this afternoon for things to shoot!
Yep, thats right...NOT working is really great!
Unfortunately, I start a part-time ophthalmic tech position
at the first of FEB. I have thoroughly enjoyed my little
break. But as they say, 'all good things must come to an end'
Do they really? =(

Don't worry, I'm not going to stop shooting!
You can tell that I consider just about EVERYTHING
a picture worth taking!
The thing is... I need some FACES to photograph!
I am thinking about doing a 'FREE' photo-session
day for anyone who would like to participate. ???
Better catch me now...ya know, before I hit it BIG.
HA!! LOL...!..!

Anyhoo...I really need to get back to work because I
really could use the extra moo-lah to purchase the
long list of photography equipment that I need/want!
I have invested alot of time in my photography
studies these past weeks. (as well as this blog)
I am very anxious to move forward...

Take a looky at what I got today :)

Driving down Million Dollar Road we spotted
